2009 Annual Jack Logan Memorial Tennis Ball Scheduled For Dec.4th/5th

The 2009 Annual Jack Logan Memorial Tournament is slated for Dec. 4th and 5th. The Juniors will compete on Dec. 4th and the Adults compete on Dec. 5th. The tournament is a doubles event with the juniors competing with the same partner and the adults continuing with the tradition of rotating partners. The entry fee is $15/junior and $25/adult. Last year winners were Chuck Cavin and Maggie Beetstra.

Pinnacle Tennis Academy Announces Junior Tennis Awards

Pinnacle Tennis Academy presented its annual trophies to the top juniors in its FREE Junior Tennis Program.

Carson Wallace of Conway received the top junior award. Others receiving honors were Lia Wilson, Chloe Wallace, J.J. Harris, Bailey Beckham, Adlee Watkins, Taryn Imamura, and Jarrell Imamura.

FREE Conway Tennis League continues year round...

Tennis Anyone?

A Free Conway Tennis League has formed that continues year round for fun, competitive play.

The league is divided into two divisions-
(1) The Tour- players with more than two-year experience and
(2) The Futures- players with under two-year experience.

Both men and women have their own divisions and juniors are invited to play, too. A point system is used to rank the players in each division.

2009 New CATA Award Winners




The new Central Arkansas Tennis Association (CATA ) announced its annual tennis community award winners.

Denise Bradley of Conway received the Meritorious Education Award.

Bill Sanders was awarded the Outstanding Service Award.

Brian Knopp, City Parks Director, received the Community Service Award.

Chris Dussourd was awarded the Top Junior Player of the Year.

Betty Courtway received the Lifetime Achievement Award.
